Does your dance style reveal your sensuality?
At most social events, when the band starts playing and everybody gets up to dance, I sit down to watch. The music is good, the dancers are in rhythm and I am thoroughly enjoying the energy displayed.
Even for synchronous or line dancing, where everyone performs the same steps, there is often a huge variation of dance styles. The novice is still learning and struggles to keep up while the dance star actually anticipates the steps.
However, within each group there are still style variations. Some dancers may be mechanical and stiff displaying confined motion to the music, while others are flowing in a liner and soft continual motion. Some dancers are efficient in their movement and others are, literally, all over the place with gyrations.
Captivated by this variation, I begin to wonder if their dance style represents their love-making style. Is that person contained or expressive? I once shared this puzzlement with a woman sitting next to me and also watching the dance floor. She indicated that it has been her experience that there is a direct relationship between one's dance style and intimate style.
She then asked me if her observations coincided with my experiences. I politely deferred providing my opinion, with the explanation that my experiences were much too limited to come to any conclusion. I did however, readily express that I was impressed with her expertise regarding this discussion, very impressed indeed! She couldn't stop laughing, loudly.
But I am now even more curious about one's public dancing style and one's private intimate style.
